'Crack Pipe' Leads To Arrest: Cranford Police

Taylor Hamilton was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 24-year-old Berkeley Heights woman was arrested and charged with possession after a motor vehicle stop on Jan. 21, according to the Cranford Police Department.

According to authorities, Patrolman Christopher Gross stopped a 1999 Nissan on South Avenue East for use of a cell phone while driving. Following an investigation at the scene, Gross arrested the driver, Taylor Hamilton, for a suspected “crack pipe” found inside the vehicle, police said.

She was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, she was issued a motor vehicle summons for use of a cell phone while driving a motor vehicle, police said.
