Looking for a Cranford area youth group for your kids?
ReCharge, Oasis-Church-NJ.com teen youth group, is teaming up this November with non-profit Family Promise and area churches like the United Methodist Church to help shelter the homeless need in our area. According to Kathy Avens, Oasis Youth Group Minister, ReCharge will be cooking dinners for a number of families that will be sheltering at the United Methodist Church in Scotch Plains. Other responsibilities will include serving, playing with the kids, and cleanup on those nights. The group is also collecting donations of bedding supplies like sheets, blankets, comforters and other care package items for distribution to the needy families.
Avens stated, "As a church our mission is to compassionately share Jesus and His love with hurting and people here and all around the world. This is a great opportunity for our Oasis Church and ReCharge Youth Group to start with our own community."
Oasis is a three year old NJ non-denominational church that meets in two locations:
Sundays 11am at Snuffys Pantagis Rennaisance at 250 Park Ave in Scotch Plains and Sundays 10am at the Regal Hadley Cinema Stadium at 1000 Corporate Ct in South Plainfield
