Summit found themselves on the cusp of making it close several times in the third quarter but could only cut the Cougars' lead down to eight on several occasions. They were led in scoring by Ba'Shawn Mickens who finished the game with 20. Ryan Sweeney scored 14 points and connected four times from beyond the arch.
Cranford's defense did a solid job of containing Mickens with Chirs Wilis, Tommy Trotter and Sean Babos all taking turns defending the scorer. The team also did a great job moving the ball on offense as they totaled 13 assists. Babos accounted for five of them and did a great job leading the way for the Cranford offense.
