Cranford Cops Honored For Pedestrian Safety
The Cranford Police Department earned an award from AAA.

CRANFORD, NJ - Citizens walking to and from school, or strolling through the downtown can do so with confidence as the Cranford Police Department was honored by AAA for pedestrian safety.
The AAA Northeast 2018 Pedestrian Safety Commendation awarded was given to Cranford for achieving zero pedestrian fatalities in 2017.
“Traffic Safety remains a priority for the Township of Cranford," Cranford Police Chief Ryan Greco said. "This award demonstrates our commitment and we will continue working to improve the safety of our roadways for all road-users.”

Detective Lieutenant Edward Davenport and Detective Sergeant Eugene Perrotta were on hand to accept the award at a ceremony held in East Hanover on Nov. 1. AAA Northeast offers a variety of community outreach programs that help spread the word about safe driving, walking and bicycling for people of all ages. They regularly work with local police departments, school and community centers to reach as many citizens as possible.
