Both local and county races are contested this year in Cranford.

CRANFORD, NJ — Tuesday is Election Day. We have compiled a list of all of the candidates running on the local and county level and also a list of polling locations.
Locally there is a contested race in Cranford.
Township Committee:

In Cranford there are four candidates vying for two three-year seats on the township committee.
Candidates include democrats Patrick Giblin and Jean-Albert Maisonneuve and republicans Andis Kalnins and Richard Buontempo.

Union County Sheriff:
There are two candidates vying for one three-year seat as Union County Sheriff. Current sheriff Joseph Cryan is not running for re-election.
Newcoming candidates include democrat Peter Corvelli of Kenilworth and republican Marc A. Krauss of Springfield.
Union County Freeholder:
On the county level, six candidates vying for three three-year term seats for freeholder.
Democratic incumbents include Angel Estrada of Elizabeth and Christopher Hudak of Linden. Newcomer candidates include democrat Angela R. Garretson of Hillside and republicans Patricia Quattrocchi of Clark, P. Mark Martini of Westfield and Peter B. Lijoi of Summit.
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

- Walnut Avenue School – 370 Walnut Ave., Districts 2-10-25-29, Auditorium/Gym
- Community Center – 220 Walnut Ave., District 1, Lounge
