Cranford Student Brought Knife To School: Superintendent (Update)
Superintendent Scott Rubin said 'appropriate measures' were taken.
CRANFORD, NJ - A Hillside Avenue student brought a knife to school Tuesday, according to Cranford School Superintendent Scott Rubin.
According to Rubin, students reported to administration that another student had brought a knife to school.
"A knife was discovered and appropriate measures have been taken," Rubin said. "No threats were made and no student or staff member was in any danger. "

Rubin said that all is well, and the administration immediately reached out to the Cranford Police Department who investigated the issue in partnership with the school.
"The safety of our school community is a shared responsibility," Rubin said. "We continue to encourage our entire community to please say something if you hear or see something."
