Cranford High Assistance Program (CHAPS)

CHS is buzzing with a new program dedicated to helping people of the community- Cranford High Assistance Program, or Chaps, is committed to aiding Cranford residents with anything they need. Ranging from babysitting to yard work, help is always free of charge. The students involved with this are eager to help anybody who asks for it, nobody what the request may be. Freshman co-presidents Trevor Aschmies and Kevin McCarthy, with the assistance of Mrs. Barbara Carroll, lead the student volunteer group on a mission to make CHS more involved in its community. The students have been proactively contributing to CHAPS in order to gain popularity.

“We’re really excited to get going with this,” Mallory Vollbrecht, freshman, states. “It’s a great idea that will only benefit the town.” CHAPS is described by President Kevin McCarthy as being “a great group of kids that want to make a difference in the community through volunteering.”
