Cranford Installs 'Medicine Drop Box'
The box, located inside Cranford's Municipal Building, allows citizens to dispose of unused, excess or expired prescription medications.
CRANFORD, NJ — Cranford has installed a Project Medicine Drop Box in the Municipal Building as part of the Attorney General's 'Project Medicine Drop' initiative.
The box is located at 8 Springfield Ave. next to the Police Records Bureau.
"The installation of the Project Medicine Drop Box makes it easier and more convenient for the members of our community to take an active role in the fight against opiate and heroin abuse, which often begins with the abuse of prescription drugs," Cranford Police Chief James Wozniak stated.
