CRANFORD, NJ — Cranford Police report arrested 4 people for marijuana possession, including a township local.

On Sept. 8 at 10:18 p.m.: Police units stopped a suspicious group loitering in the municipal parking garage. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Ryan McSharry arrested an individual, Ruben Delgado, 21, of Cranford for suspected marijuana and THC oil located he had in his possession. He was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of under 50 grams (marijuana), and possession of drug paraphernalia, processed and provided with a superior court appearance date.

On Sept. 5 at 12:06 a.m.: A 2014 Honda was stopped on North Avenue East near the Garden State Parkway 137 Exchange for unclear plates. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Timothy Handy arrested the driver, Aljihad McCollum, 26, of Union for suspected marijuana located inside the vehicle. He was charged with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of over 50 grams (marijuana), and possession of drug paraphernalia, processed and provided with a superior court appearance date. In addition, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for unclear plates, an unregistered vehicle and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

On Sept. 5 at 9:12 a.m.: A 2018 Volkswagen was stopped on Raritan Road at Centennial Avenue for erratic driving. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Gregory Federici arrested the driver, Wendy Dabrowski, 42, of Rahway for suspected heroin located inside the vehicle. She was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance near school property, distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia, processed and provided with a superior court appearance date. In addition, she was issued motor vehicle summonses for an unsafe lane change, unlicensed driver and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

On Sept. 8 at 2:46 p.m.: Police units were dispatched to the 400 block of South Avenue East for an individual attempting to cash a fraudulent check within a business. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Christopher Gross arrested the suspect, Alejandro Cimadevila, 28, of Miami, Florida for forgery. He was processed and provided with a superior court appearance date.
