Cranford Locals Among 12 Arrested in Town
Two Cranford locals were arrested for driving while intoxicated and cocaine possession on separate incidents in town: blotter

CRANFORD, NJ — Twelve people were arrested last week in Cranford including two locals for driving while intoxicated and cocaine possession, according to the police blotter.
On Nov. 2 at 1:24 p.m.: A 2002 Jeep was stopped at the intersection of North Union Avenue and Riverside Drive for an equipment violation.
French was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, processed, and released to a friend, pending a Municipal Court Appearance.

French was issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, failing to maintain lamps, unclear plates, and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
On Nov. 4 at 7:43 p.m.: A 1999 Oldsmobile was stopped at the intersection of Orange Avenue and Claremont Place for following another vehicle to closely(tailgating).

Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Daniel Donnerstag located cocaine inside the vehicle. The driver, Robert Harris, 47, of Cranford was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance(Cocaine); Possession of Paraphernalia, processed, and released pending a Superior Court Appearance.
Additionally, Harris was issued motor vehicle summonses for tailgating and having a controlled dangerous substance inside a motor vehicle.

On Nov. 1: Union County College Public Safety contacted the Cranford Police Department to report potential narcotics activity on the campus.
Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Chamra determined that Maliek Frederick, 19, of Jersey City was in possession of a quantity of marijuana.
Frederick was arrested for Possession of Marijuana w/intent to Distribute and Possession of Paraphernalia, processed, and released pending a Superior Court appearance in Elizabeth.
On Nov. 1 at 12:03 p.m.: A 2000 Chrysler was stopped for careless driving and a seatbelt violation at the intersection of W. North Avenue and Orchard Street.
Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Robert Jordan located marijuana inside the vehicle. The driver, Kevin Roche, 32, of Tinton Falls was arrested for Possession of Marijuana(Under 50grams) and Possession of Paraphernalia, processed, and released pending a Municipal Court Appearance.
Roche was also issued motor vehicle summonses for having a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, failure to wear seatbelt, delaying traffic, and failure to exhibit documents.
On Nov. 1 at 2:32 p.m.: While conducting routine patrol of Union County College, Ptl. Thomas Bell observed an occupant of a 2014 Jeep acting in a suspicious manner. Upon making contact with the occupant, Edwin Rodriguez, 20, of Linden Ptl. Bell initiated an investigation.
Following this investigation at the scene, Ptl. Bell located an amount of marijuana inside the vehicle. Rodriguez was arrested for Possession of Marijuana w/intent to Distribute and Possession of Paraphernalia, processed, and released pending a Superior Court appearance.
Rodriguez was issued a motor vehicle summons for possessing a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
On Nov. 1 at 11:20 p.m.: A 2003 Ford was stopped at the intersection of Centennial Avenue and Myrtle Street for a malfunctioning headlight.
Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Daniel Donnerstag located marijuana inside the vehicle. The driver, Diego Guevara, 22, of Garwood was arrested for Possession of Marijuana(under 50g) and Possession of Paraphernalia, processed, and released pending a Municipal Court Appearance.
Guevara was issued motor vehicle summonses for failing to maintain lamps, and possessing a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
On Nov. 2 at 12:01 a.m.: A 2008 Dodge was stopped at the intersection of Georgia Street and Lexington Avenue for a window tint violation.
Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Timothy Handy located marijuana on the driver, Robert Crescenzo, 20, of Clark.
Crescenzo was arrested for Possession of Marijuana(under 50g) and Possession of Paraphernalia, processed, and released pending a Municipal Court Appearance.
Crescenzo was issued motor vehicle summonses for window tint and possessing a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
On Nov. 4 at 1:48 p.m.: A 2002 Suzuki was stopped at the intersection of E. North Avenue and the GSP NB 137 Ramp for a seatbelt violation.
Following an investigation at the scene, Det. Spencer Durkin located heroin inside the vehicle. A passenger, Bernard Daly, 41, of Edison was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Heroin); Possession of Paraphernalia; and Contempt of Court, processed, and released pending a Superior Court appearance.
Daly was issued a motor vehicle summons for failing to wear a seatbelt.
On Nov. 3 at 11:40 p.m.: A 2002 Honda was stopped at the intersection of E. South Avenue and High Street for failing to signal.
Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Michael O’Neil located a substantial amount of cocaine inside the vehicle. Also located within the vehicle was marijuana and suspected MDMA, which is also known as “Molly.”
The driver, Nelson Valentin, 30, of Elizabeth was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance w/ intent to Distribute (Cocaine); Possession of Marijuana(under 50g); and Possession of Paraphernalia, processed, and committed to the Union County Jail in lieu of bail.
Nelson was also issued motor vehicle summonses for having a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, driving while suspended, and failing to signal.
On Nov. 5 at 2:29 a.m.: A 2014 Hyundai was stopped at the intersection of E. South Avenue and Hollywood Avenue for not having a front license plate.
Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Timothy Handy located marijuana on the driver, Sebastian Tabares, 19, Elizabeth.
Tabares, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana(under 50g); Possession of Paraphernalia, processed, and released pending a Municipal Court Appearance.
Tabares was also issued motor vehicle summonses for delaying traffic, improper display, failing to exhibit documents, and possessing a controlled dangerous substance inside a motor vehicle.
On Nov. 5 at 7:49 p.m.: A 2005 Ford was stopped at the intersection of Raritan Road and Centennial Avenue for a seatbelt violation.
Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Gregory Federici located marijuana inside the vehicle. A passenger, Joshua Manning, 22, of Vauxhall was arrested for Possession of Marijuana(under 50g); Possession of Paraphernalia, processed, and released pending a Municipal Court Appearance.
An additional passenger was issued a motor vehicle summons for failing to wear a seatbelt.
On Nov. 6 at 6:43 p.m.: A 2001 Mitsubishi was stopped at the intersection of North Avenue and Forest Avenue for a seatbelt violation.
Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Ryan Gerrity located marijuana and prescription medication inside the vehicle. The driver, Tiffany Ensmann, 19, of North Arlington was arrested for Possession of Marijuana(under 50g); Possession of Prescription Pills; Possession of Paraphernalia, processed, and released pending a Municipal Court Appearance.
Ensmann was also issued motor vehicle summonses for failing to wear a seatbelt, and having a controlled dangerous substance inside a motor vehicle.
