Cranford Man Arrested After DWI Crash: Cops
Francis Smith was charged with driving while intoxicated, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 47-year-old Cranford man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a single vehicle crash on Jan. 9, according to the Cranford Police Department.
According to authorities, police units discovered a one car motor vehicle crash along North Avenue East in which the vehicle, a 2003 Chevrolet, had driven off-road. Following an investigation at the scene, Detective Steven D’Ambola arrested the driver, Francis Smith, for driving while intoxicated, police said.
Smith was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date, police said.

In addition, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for reckless driving, careless driving, and speeding across a sidewalk, police said.
