Cranford Memorial Service To Honor 9/11 Victims

Six Cranford residents died in the attacks on the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ — The Cranford World Trade Center Memorial Committee along with the Cranford Clergy Council will host a Service of Remembrance on Tuesday for the 17th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

A total of six Cranford residents died in the attacks on the World Trade Center: Dean P. Eberling, 44; Christopher Michael Grady, 39; Robert H. Lynch, 44; Gregory Milanowycz, 25; Thomas M. Regan, 43; and Leonard J. Snyder Jr., 35.

Those six were among the nearly 3,000 people who died in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon and when United Airlines Flight 93 crashed in a rural field near Shanksville in western Pennsylvania at 10:10 a.m. that on Sept. 11, 2001.

The Service of Remembrance will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the September 11 Memorial Park at North Union and Springfield avenues.

In the event of inclement weather, the service will be moved to First Presbyterian Church of Cranford, across the street from the park.
