Cranford Overpowers Delaware Valley On Senior Night
Cougars defeat previously unbeaten Delaware Valley 41-7 to finish regular season with a best ever 8-1 record.
Cranford Senior Night festivities began with proud football and band parents and their children (seniors) walking together across the football field as the Cranford crowd cheered their elder classmen and women. It was to be Cranford's night all around, as quarterback Reggie Green ran for two touchdowns and threw for one as he led Cranford to a 41-7 victory over Delaware Valley on Friday night in Cranford.
Cranford took an early 7-0 on a 3-yard TD run by J.P. Christiano. After a missed field goal by Delaware Valley, Green scored on a 76 yard touchdown run to make the score 14-0. Cranford (8-1) had 269 yards of offense in the first half, building a 27-0 lead. Additional scoring by Cranford included a 70 yard TD pass to Adham McGuire to make it 34-0, and a fumble recovery by Jimmy Dwyer on the 1 yard line for a touchdown. The Cougars finished the regular season with a best ever 8-1 record.
