Cranford Police Arrest 5 For DWI, Cocaine, Marijuana
Cranford Police reported arresting 5 people on charges including driving while intoxicated, cocaine possession and marijuana possession.

CRANFORD, NJ — Cranford Police reported arresting five people on charges, including driving while intoxicated, cocaine possession and marijuana possession.

On April 26 at 2:24 a.m.: A 2002 Toyota was stopped on North Avenue East near Carpenter Place for careless driving. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Shayne Temple arrested the driver, Ian Cordova, 28, of Roselle Park for driving while intoxicated. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, processed and provided with a municipal court appearance date. Additionally, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to maintain his lane, careless driving, obstructing traffic, and not having a valid inspection sticker.

On April 27 at 4:35 p.m.: A 2014 Jeep was stopped at the intersection of North Avenue East and the Garden State Parkway 137 Exchange for not signaling a turn. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Joseph Sherbo arrested the driver, Marvin Farmer, 27, of Iselin for suspected marijuana located inside the vehicle. He was charged with possession of under 50 grams (marijuana) and possession of paraphernalia, processed and released pending a municipal court appearance date. Additionally, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for tinted windows and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
On April 27 at 8:14 p.m.: A 2006 Toyota was stopped on Myrtle Street near Commerce Drive for a cracked windshield. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Jason D’Agostino arrested a passenger, Kenneth Graves, 37, of East Orange for suspected marijuana located inside the vehicle. He was charged with possession of under 50 grams (marijuana) and possession of paraphernalia, processed and provided with a municipal court appearance date. Additionally, the driver was issued motor vehicle summonses for an obstructed view and a cracked windshield.

On April 28 at 12:05 a.m.: A 2005 Ford was stopped on Centennial Avenue near Raritan Road for a seat belt violation. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Jason D’Agostino arrested a passenger, Raekwon Billups, 19, of Rahway for suspected marijuana located inside the vehicle. He was charged with possession of under 50 grams (marijuana) and possession of paraphernalia, processed and provided with a municipal court appearance date. Additionally, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to wear his seat belt.
On April 29 at 8:10 p.m.: A 2000 Mazda was stopped on Centennial Avenue near Raritan Road for a cracked windshield. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Michael O’Neil arrested the driver, Tricia Young, 47, of North Plainfield for suspected cocaine located inside the vehicle. She was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of paraphernalia, processed and provided with a superior court appearance date. Additionally, she was issued motor vehicle summonses for a cracked windshield, maintenance of lamps, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
