Cranford Police Charge 2 Drivers With Drug Possession
One driver was stopped because his tail light wasn't on, and was hit with a host of charges, police say.

CRANFORD, NJ — The following information is from recent reports from the Cranford Police Department:
Last Friday, police stopped a car near Raritan Road and Coleman Avenue because of erratic driving, police said. Following an investigation on the scene, Patrolman Christopher Gross arrested the driver, Thomas Udvari, for possession of suspected heroin, police said. He was processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date.
In addition, Udvari was issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.

Two days earlier, on Nov. 4, police stopped a vehicle on North Avenue East and Carpetner Place around 9 p.m. because a brake light wasn't on, police said.
They said that following an investigation on the scene, Patrolman Chamra arrested the driver, Errol Nunn, for possession of suspected heroin and crack-cocaine. He was processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date.

In addition, Nunn was issued motor vehicle summonses for suspended driving, maintenance of lamps, failure to a have a valid driver’s license in his possession, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
