Cranford Police Make Drug Busts On Highways
Suspects were pulled over for other alleged violations and ultimately arrested for a drug offense.
CRANFORD, NJ — Issues with motor vehicles, or how they were being driven, led to drug arrests for several motorists on Cranford roadways recently.
These items from recent Cranford police reports are only charges and not convictions:
Last Monday, police arrested Quinn Heald, 30, of Toms River, and Linnea Heald, 27, of Toms River on Centennial Avenue, near exit 137 on the Garden State Parkway.

Police stopped the driver of a 2017 Kia at 10:54 p.m. for allegedly failing to maintain the lane.
Following an investigation on the scene, Det. Spencer Durkin and Patrolman Greg Federici arrested both the driver and a passenger for possession of suspected heroin.

The pair were processed and provided with Superior Court appearance dates. In addition, Quinn Heald was issued motor vehicle summonses for suspended driving, careless driving, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, according to a report.
On the day before, Feb. 23, at 6:43 p.m., police arrested Edward Zazzali, 34, for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the report, police stopped a 2004 Mercedes-Benz on Centennial Avenue and Raritan Road for an alleged seatbelt violation.
Following an investigation on scene, Patrolman Ali Muhammad arrested the driver, Edward Zazzali, for possession of a suspected crack cocaine. He was processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date. In addition, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for a seatbelt violation and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
