Cranford Police Raise $7K For No Shave November
The Cranford Police Department, nicknamed "The Fuzz," exceeded their goal by raising more than $7,150 for No Shave November.

CRANFORD, NJ — The Cranford Police Department, nicknamed “The Fuzz,” exceeded their goal by raising more than $7,150 for No Shave November.
A total of 27 members of the department, ranging from the rank of Captain to Communications Officer participated in “No-Shave November.” The department set a goal of raising $6,000 but exceeded that.
“It is unusual to see our uniformed officers with beards, but this is a great conversation starter to raise awareness for a cause that affects so many,” said Cranford Police Chief Ryan Greco.

This is the third consecutive year members of the department took part in this event which supports Cancer Research and Education.
The month-long non-profit fundraising event includes participants who forgo their normal shaving and grooming routine in an attempt to promote cancer awareness. Typically, participants donate the money they spend on shaving and grooming products, which ultimately benefits such organizations as the American Cancer Society, Prevent Cancer Foundation, Fight Colorectal Cancer, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. During this year’s event, No-Shave November has raised more than 1.7 million dollars for these organizations.
