Cranford Schools, Library, Municipal Building Closed Tuesday
Due to the impending blizzard, all Cranford schools, the Municipal Building, Library and Community Center will be closed on Tuesday.

CRANFORD, NJ — Due to the impending blizzard, all Cranford schools, the Cranford Municipal Building, Library and Community Center will be closed on Tuesday, March 14.
The Cranford Police Department and Office of Emergency Management is closely following the severe weather forecast for our area. The latest track provided by the New York Office of NOAA's National Weather Service shows an increasing forecast confidence. Below is a listing of important information related to the storm:
FORECAST:
A Blizzard Warning is in effect for Cranford from late tonight through Tuesday evening. Heavy Snow with accumulations of 11” – 23” is expected. Tuesday morning snowfall rates of 2-4” per hour with whiteout conditions likely. Wind speeds will be increasing to 35-50 mph with gusts up to 60 mph, highest along the coast. The storm is expected to begin late tonight and continue through Tuesday afternoon.

SNOW REMOVAL:
Residents should ensure that they do not shovel or snow blow their snow back into the roadway after it has been plowed as this creates a hazardous condition. Also, anyone with a fire hydrant near their property is asked to keep the hydrant clear of snow in the event of an emergency.
ON STREET PARKING:
Residents are asked to remove ALL vehicles from the roadways to assist the DPW in keeping the roads clear and to ensure the safe passage of fire engines and other emergency vehicles. Please use your driveway, a family member's, or a neighbor’s driveway if possible.

Due to the large amount of snow expected, parking WILL NOT be permitted in the municipal lots or parking garage except for those with the proper parking permits. Also, no parking is permitted on any school property.
Residents in need of a place to park may utilize the Orange Avenue Pool parking lot or the Centennial Avenue Pool parking lot closest to Centennial Avenue.
The Township created a snow emergency ordinance that now prohibits parking on the roadway during snow storms. Below is a listing of all Township, County, and State roadways that prohibit parking. The Cranford Community Center and Centennial Avenue Pool will be closed on Tuesday, March 14th and all activities are cancelled.
The Cranford Public Library will also be closed on Tuesday, March, 14th.
All Cranford Public School are closed on Tuesday, March 14th.
