Cranford Seniors Receive New Free Transport Van

Union County Freeholders presented the new "Seniors In Motion" van to a total of 18 municipalities including Cranford this year.

CRANFORD, NJ — Cranford received a new 12-passenger van that will provide free transport for senior citizens from Union County.

Union County Freeholder Chairman Bruce H. Bergen and Freeholders Christopher Hudak, Angel G. Estrada, Bette Jane Kowalski and Vernell Wright presented the van to Cranford Mayor Thomas H. Hannen recently.

The vans are being awarded to a total of 18 municipalities this year through Freeholder Chairman Bruce Bergen’s “Seniors in Motion” initiative to assist seniors with free, local transport.
