Cranford Woman Arrested For Shoplifting In Clark: Blotter

Two homes were also burglarized and a car was damaged last week in Clark, police report.

CLARK, NJ — A Cranford woman was arrested last week in Clark for shoplifting at ShopRite, police report.

Patricia Thompson, 54, of Cranford was arrested for shoplifting merchandise, valued at $42.63, from the Shop-Rite Supermarket at 76 Central Avenue on March 4 at 4:38 p.m., Clark Police report.

She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. P.O. Mazhar Elwardany was the Arresting Officer.

On Feb. 28 at 7 p.m.: Police took a a report of two residential burglaries in the vicinity of Malvern Drive and John Street. Both incident are under investigation. P.O. Sergio D’Andrea and P.O. Paul Sosnowski were the Investigating Officers.

On Feb. 28 at 8:18 a.m.: Police took a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle that was parked at a residence on Joseph Street. The incident is under investigation. P.O. Mark Detore was the Investigating Officer.

On Feb. 27 at 10:50 p.m.: In the vicinity of Raritan Road, police arrested Christopher Torres, 19, of Elizabeth for possession of CDS and CDS paraphernalia. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Also arrested was Melissa Dabel, 21, of Elizabeth on outstanding warrants, totaling $1,900, from Elizabeth, Irvington, Roselle and Union for contempt of court. She was released after paying bail in full. P.O. Bruce McDonald was the Arresting Officer.

On Feb. 28 at 4:30 p.m.: Police took a report of a theft of a wallet from a shopping cart at the Shop-Rite Supermarket at 76 Central Avenue. The incident is under investigation. P.O. Andrew Medeiros was the Investigating Officer.

On March 1 at 4:35 p.m.: At 76 Central Avenue, police arrested Michelle Savage, 50, of Colonia for shoplifting from the Shop-Rite Supermarket at 76 Central Avenue. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. P.O. Michael DeAngelo was the Arresting Officer.

On March 1 at 4:15 p.m.: In the vicinity of Liberty Street, police arrested Asia Starling, 31, of Linden for possession of CDS. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. P.O. Joshua Weber was the Arresting Officer.

On March 2 at 7:33 p.m.: In the vicinity of Brant Avenue, police arrested Samira Slater, 21, of Rahway for possession of CDS. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Sgt. Christoper Tuccio was the Arresting Officer.

On March 3 at 3:58 p.m.: In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue, police arrested Christoph Houston, 34, of Rahway on an outstanding warrant from the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department. He was subsequently turned over to them on their warrant. P.O. Sergio Henriques was the Arresting Officer.
