According to the Township, Cranford residents are responsible for shoveling their own snow and ice on sidewalks and corners around properties within 12 hours of accumulation.

If snow or ice hardens, ashes, sawdust, or sand must be used within a four-hour window. Once thawed, the ground must then be cleared within the following four hours.

Fire hydrants should be cleared from at least three feet around and with a clear path to the street.
