Did You Reach the 'Promised Land'?
Millions of Bruce Springsteen fans stood in line, manned the phones, worked the websites to get tickets to the local April shows. How'd you make out?

I tried. I really tried. In the spirit of journalistic inquisitiveness, I tried to secure a pair of tickets for the local first leg of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's tour.
It wasn't a particularly fulfilling experience, full of spinning pinwheels, busy signals and lots of "no luck, sucker" messages.
His 17th studio album, Wrecking Ball, is due in stores March 6. iTunes has been taking pre-release orders for the last week. He and the E Street Band will be playing about 20 indoor-arena shows this spring in the U.S. before heading for a European tour and likely back for as-yet-unannounced stadium dates back home in the late summer. He wrote the title song to honor the old Giants Stadium, where Springsteen was the last to perform before it was torn down.

So, as Springsteen and the crew prepare for the tour, it's now time to hit up your friends, acquaintances, friends of acquaintances and strangers to find a ticket to the Izod Center, Madison Square Garden or "The Rock" for the biggest show to hit Jersey since, well, Springsteen last took the stage.
