DISCUSS: What's You Favorite 'Old School' MTV Video?

MTV turns 30 years old today! Do you have a favorite music video?

Thirty years ago, a new television channel debuted with the goal of bringing music videos and news about the world of music to its viewers. "Video Killed the Radio Star" by the British group, The Buggles, was the first video broadcast on MTV. In the years that followed, the cable network gained momentum and the phrase, "I want my MTV" became popular as more people began to subscribe to the channel, which featured a group of "VJs" who introduced the videos.

In the decades that followed, MTV expanded its programming from music videos, to original programming such as 'The Real World" and "Jersey Shore." The station also created the annual Video Music Awards to showcase and honor the top videos in the industry.

In honor of MTV's 30th anniversary, discuss your favorite current or old school music video and how you feel about the changes the station has made in its programming over the years.
