Drug Arrest On Grant Street: Cranford Police
Mohamed Hassayna was stopped for a seat belt violation, police said.
CRANFORD, NJ - A 28-year-old Hillside man was arrested and charged with possession of Under 50g of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a motor vehicle stop on June 15, according to the Cranford Police Department.
According to authorities, Patrolman James Knight stopped a 2005 Mercedes Benz Centennial Avenue and Grant Street Road for a seatbelt violation. Following an investigation on scene, Knight arrested the driver, Mohamed Hassayna, for possession of suspected marijuana found inside the vehicle, police said.
He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for unclear plates, improper use of high beam lights and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
