Drug Arrest On North Avenue East: Cranford Police

CRANFORD, NJ - A 21-year-old Brooklyn, NY, man was arrested and charged with possession of under 50g of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a motor vehicle stop on April 1, according to the Cranford Police Department.

According to authorities, Patrolman Christopher Gross stopped a 2007 Nissan on North Avenue East and Elizabeth Avenue for a cracked windshield.

Following an investigation on scene, Gross arrested a passenger, Tyrell Rucker, for suspected marijuana found in his possession, police said.

He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. Additionally, the driver was issued motor vehicle summonses for an improper turn and a cracked windshield, police said.
