Drug Arrest On Raritan Road: Cranford Police

Danial Ahmed and Naiteek Patel were arrested after a motor vehicle stop, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 28-year-old man and a 33-year-old man, both from Piscataway, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Cranford Police Department.

According to authorities, Patrolman Timothy Handy stopped a 2009 Nissan on Raritan Road and Centennial Avenue for tinted windows and an inspection violation.

Following an investigation on scene, Handy arrested two passengers, Danial Ahmed and Naiteek Patel, for suspected THC oils found inside the vehicle, police said. They were processed and provided with Superior Court appearance dates.

In addition, the driver was issued motor vehicle summonses for an unsafe lane change, tinted windows and an inspection violation, police said.
