Drug Arrest On South Avenue West: Cranford Police
Delano Clarke was arrested after being stopped for a seatbelt violation, police said.
CRANFORD, NJ - A 38-year-old Plainfield man was arrested and charged with possession of under 50g of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia on May 11, according to the Cranford Police Department.
According to authorities, Patrolman Christopher Gross stopped a 2014 Honda on South Avenue West for a seatbelt violation. Following an investigation on scene, Gross arrested the driver, Delano Clarke, for suspected marijuana found inside the vehicle, police said.
He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, Clarke was issued motor vehicle summonses for an inspection violation, failure to keep right, a seatbelt violation and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
