Drug Distribution Arrest In Cranford: Police
Deshawn Claiborne was arrested after a motor vehicle stop on March 22, police said.
CRANFORD, NJ - A 26-year-old East Orange man was arrested and charged with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of under 50g of marijuana and poessession of drug paraphernalia after a motor vehicle stop on March 22, according to the Cranford Police Department.
According to authorities, Patrolman Michael O'Neil, a 2006 Mitsubishi was stopped on Centennial Avenue and Hayes Street for unclear plates. Following an investigation on scene, O’Neil arrested the driver, Deshawn Claiborne, for suspected marijuana found inside the vehicle, police said. He was processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date.
In addition, Claiborne was issued motor vehicle summonses for unclear plates and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
