Drunk Driver Arrested On Hayes Street: Cranford Police
Joseph Chirichella was pulled over for erratic driving, police said.
CRANFORD, NJ - A 79-year-old Highlands man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a motor vehicle stop on May 1.
According to authorities, Patrolman Brian Trotter stopped a 2018 Chevrolet on Centennial Avenue and Hayes Street for erratic driving. Following an investigation on scene, Trotter arrested the driver, Joseph Chirichella, for driving while intoxicated, police said.
He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving and failure to yield to oncoming traffic.
