Drunk Driver Charged With Eluding: Cranford Police
Phelinx Estiverne was also charged with possession of hypodermic syringe, police said.
CRANFORD, NJ - A 47-year-old Hillside man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, eluding and possession of a hypodermic syringe after a motor vehicle stop on April 23, according to the Cranford Police Department.
According to authorities, police units attempted to stop a 2004 Toyota near the intersection of North Avenue East and Centennial Avenue for a seatbelt violation.
Once the vehicle stopped for the police, Chamra arrested the driver, Phelinx Estiverne, for driving while intoxicated, eluding and possession of a hypodermic syringe, police said.

Estiverne was processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date.
In addition, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for refusal to the taking of breath samples, failure to keep right, a seatbelt violation, careless driving, and unclear plates, police said.
