Drunk Driver Had No Registration, Insurance: Cranford Cops
Carlos Cascante-Esquivel was stopped for careless driving, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 46-year-old Linden man was charged with driving while intoxicated after a motor vehicle stop on Jan. 24, according the Cranford Police Department.
According to authorities, Patrolman Timothy Handy stopped a 2002 Honda on Raritan Road and Moen Avenue for careless driving. Following an investigation at the scene, Handy arrested the driver, Carlos Cascante-Esquivel, for driving while intoxicated, police said. He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court Appearance date.
In addition, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for refusal to consent to taking breath samples, no valid registration card in possession, no valid insurance card in possession, careless driving and a seatbelt violation, police said.
