Drunk Driver, Passenger Had Drugs: Cranford Police
Michael Herrera and Jolie Sokolowski were arrested after a motor vehicle stop, police said.
CRANFORD, NJ - A 40-year-old Cranford man and 40-year-old Phillipsburg woman were arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and drug possession after a motor vehicle stop o March 17, according to the Cranford Police Department.
According to authorities, Patrolman Jason D'Agostino stopped a 2004 Acura on Centennial Avenue and Raritan Road for a headlight out. Following an investigation on scene, D’Agostino arrested the driver, Cranford's Michael Herrera and the passenger, Phillipsburg's Jolie Sokolowski, police said.
Herrera was arrested for driving while intoxicated and Sokolowski for possession of suspected Xanax pills found inside the vehicle, police said.

They were both processed and provided with Superior Court appearance dates. In addition, Herrera was issued motor vehicle summonses for maintenance of lamps, tinted windows, careless driving and failure to maintain a lane, police said.
