Drunk Driver Stopped On Centennial Avenue: Cranford Cops

Elroy Jain was stopped for careless driving, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 44-year-old West Orange man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after a motor vehicle stop on May 5, according to the Cranford Police Department.

According to authorities, Patrolman John Rattigan stopped a 2017 Acura on North Avenue and Centennial Avenue for careless driving.

Following an investigation on scene, Rattigan arrested the driver, Elroy Jain, for driving while
intoxicated, police said. He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving and delaying traffic, police said.
