Drunk Driver Stopped On Raritan Road: Cranford Police

Ronnie James was stopped for careless driving, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 42-year-old Morristown man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a motor vehicle stop on May 5, according to the Cranford Police Department.

According to authorities, Patrolman John Rattigan stopped a 2012 BMW was stopped on Raritan Road for careless driving. Following an investigation on scene, Rattigan arrested the driver, Ronnie James, for driving while intoxicated, police said.

James was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for open container and delaying traffic, police said.
