Union County College is hosting an open house for College for Kids & Teens (CFK). This event will take place today from 10:00am - 12:00pm on the Cranford Campus, 1033 Springfield Avenue, Cranford in the Nomahegan Building. This event will include free activities for kids including a bouncy house, face-painting, and more.
This program runs during the fall semester and offers classes in areas such as music, arts and crafts, sciences, theater and many others, which provide entertainment in a safe learning environment. The program offers affordable classes for children aged 6 months to 18 years old and all are welcome to the open house to meet the staff and instructors, ask questions, and register for courses.
The fall semester classes are held on Saturday mornings on the Cranford campus. Class scheduled times are 8:50 am - 10:20am or 10:30am - to 12:00pm. New to this year’s schedule is “Musical Fun” for ages 6 months to 4 years and “Little Artists” for ages 3 to 4. All courses run from Sepember 24, 2011 - November 19, 2011. Tuition varies course by course and classes fill quickly, so register early.

Other new classes this year include “All About Animals” and “Family Zumba” for ages 7 to 9; “Zumba for Kids” for ages 10 to 12; “ ”Do It Yourself Beauty” and “Make Your First App or I-Phone Game” for ages 13 to 14; and “Garage Band” and “Improv for Teens” for ages 14+.
In the CFK program, children and teens have the opportunity to explore different subjects through structured activities that make learning fun.
