LYNDON & LADY BIRD JOHNSON, a personal look. The College Women's Club of Cranford invites the Community to a free live, hour-long presentation that makes these personalities spring to life. You've heard the term "whirlwind courtship"? You will see exactly what that means in the story of Lyndon and Lady Bird. In their married years "Bird" grew into an astute business woman and Lyndon became known as "The Master of the Senate". The presentation will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Cranford at 8pm. Please contact Magdalena de Perez on 908-337-3456 if you would like to attend.
Meet your neighbors, network, be educated as well as entertained. The College Women's Club of Cranford has as its mission the goals of informing college women of educational, civic, and social issues in the community, as well as to finance scholarships beyond the secondary school level for students who reside in Cranford. Interested Cranford women with degrees from a four-year college are invited to join the organization. The club meets the second Monday of each month from October through May at the First Presbyterian Church, Cranford. Meetings begin at 7:30 pm with refreshments and then a guest speaker at 8pm. Topics vary from art, poetry, music to social issues, etc. Membership is not required to attend the presentations.
