“Context” Adult Education Course Offered

Congregation Beth Israel in Scotch Plains is offering a free introductory session with the Institute for Jewish Learning at the Jewish Theological Seminary.  This seminar will discuss the two-year scholarly adult education course called “Context” starting this fall.  This event will be held this evening 7:30pm at Temple Emau-El, 756 East Broad Street, Westfield.

This two-year course, will be rotated between the JCC of Central New Jersey and local area synagogues.  Registration for Context is open to the community.  Synagogue membership is not required and the course is non-denominational.  Context is taught by eminent instructors from an array of leading academic institutions, both secular and religious, who have a demonstrated passion for adult Jewish learning.  For more information, contact Larry Berman, Temple Emanu-El, 908-232-6770, ext. 110.
