“Dining With History” - Cranford Public Library

The Friends of the Cranford Public Library is hosting a "Dining With History" with Phil Jaeger, on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 7:30pm.  This lecture will take place at the Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Avenue, Cranford.  Phil Jaeger will be offering information about NJ restaurants and those in neighboring states, that began as far back at the 1700s. 

The program includes information about New Jersey restaurants, as well as restaurants in neighboring states, that began operation as long ago as the 1700s.  Phil Jaeger has penned two books, “Montclair: A Postcard Guide to Its Past” and “Cedar Grove.” He is a trustee of the Cedar Grove Historical Society and a former trustee of the Passaic County Historical Society.  This will his  fourth visit to Cranford, where he has also presented programs on the castles of New Jersey, the mills of New Jersey, and New Jersey’s deserted villages. Admission to the program is free and all are welcome.
