Environmental Commission Energy Efficiency Fair

Be a Light in Your Community! Help Cranford Environmental Commission raise funds for tree planting at Energy Efficient Lighting Sale & Rain Barrel-Building Workshop. The Cranford Environmental Commission (CEC) is hosting a fundraising community event to highlight its education campaign on ways to mitigate the effects of stormwater runoff. The event will feature the sale of energy efficient lighting kits and a rain barrel-building workshop for Cranford residents. The CEC, in partnership with non-profit Project Porchlight, will be selling energy efficient lighting kits consisting of 12 (CFL) bulbs and two desk lamps – a $75 value on sale for $20. Half of proceeds from kit sales will support the CEC’s tree planting program. Take an active role in recycling rainwater - install a rain barrel at your house! A Rutgers Cooperative Extension Rain Barrel Instructor will demonstrate the step-by-step method to build and install a rain barrel at your home. Orders will be taken for your own rain barrel kit.
