Painting/Drawing with Paul Casale
Painting and Drawing from direct observation is an experience every artist should have. This class is designed as an introduction to traditional oil painting and drawing for both the beginner and intermediate student. Working from still life arrangements and a posed model, students will learn fundamental painting and drawing techniques. Topics covered will include arrangement of colors on palette, blocking in the composition, developing a painting in monochrome, building form through use of light and shadow, color mixing, paint application, brushwork and knowledge of care of materials and equipment. Each new skill will be demonstrated by the instructor and students will be given one on one instruction.
