The Decorative Arts: How We Collect - A PowerPoint Presentation by the Newark Musuem

The decorative arts collection is one of seven major permanent collections at the Newark Museum. Viewers will see examples of the collection that illustrate artists' responses to what was happening from the 1600s through today. The presenter will discuss the four elements used to select objects for the collection: history, aesthetic quality, craftsmanship and rarity. Sponsored by the Friends of the Cranford Public Library.
