Evidence Tampering, Drug Charges In Cranford: Police
Nicholas Ramos and Adrian Paneto were arrested, police said.
CRANFORD, NJ - A 26-year-old Linden man and a 29-year-old man from the Bronx, NY, were arrested after a motor vehicle stop on Centennial Avenue on April 20, police said.
According to authorities, Patrolman Gregory Federici stopped a 2011 Nissan on Centennial Avenue for having a tail light out. Following an investigation on scene Federici arrested a passenger, Adrian Paneto, for an active criminal warrant out of Clark, police said.
During the arrest, Federici witnesses the driver, Nicholas Ramos, ingesting prescription medication that was not prescribed to him, police said. He was placed under arrest for tampering with evidence and possession of suspected marijuana found inside the vehicle, police said.

Ramos was provided with a Superior Court appearance date.
In addition, Ramos was issued motor vehicle summons for maintenance of lamps and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
