'Excellent Budget' To Bump Taxes $29 In Cranford
The proposed budget stays well below the two percent annual cap.
CRANFORD, NJ - The average resident in Cranford will be paying slightly more in municipal taxes in 2019 if the budget proposed Tuesday passes.
Mayor Patrick Giblin called the budget excellent and noted the budget proposed has the lowest municipal tax increase in years.
"It is very tight and it gives residents some much needed tax relief," he said.

Giblin also noted that the budget was below the two percent annual cap for increases imposed on municipalities by the State.
"It's coming in well below the 2 percent cap at 1.14 percent," Giblin said.
