General Election Showdown Set In Cranford
An uncontested primary has given way to two races in November.
CRANFORD, NJ - A quiet, uncontested primary has given way to two races for Cranford Township Committee in the November general election.
Republicans Mary O'Connor and Phillip Siliato won their party's nomination in the primary Tuesday and will face off against Democrats Kathleen Miller Prunty and Brian Andrews who won their party's nomination.
The Cranford Township Committee will have at least one new face on the dais in 2020 as current committeewoman Ann Doley did not file for another three-year term by the filing deadline. Two new faces should O'Connor fail to win another round on the dias.

In Tuesday's primary approximately 1,600 voters turned out at the polls. The unofficial election results saw O'Connor getting 457 votes and Siliato 439. Kathleen Miller Prunty tallied 955 and Brian Andrews netted 942.
All results are unofficial until they are certified by the County clerk.

The general election is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 5.
