Groundbreaking LGBTQ Romantic Comedy Film 'Bros' Is Shooting In Cranford, NJ This Week
The film "Bros" is shooting in Cranford NJ this week. It's the first "gay romantic comedy from a major studio," says the Hollywood Reporter.
CRANFORD, NJ — A new film called "Bros" will be filming in Downtown Cranford on Wednesday and Thursday, the Downtown Cranford organization said in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
The organization noted that the film represents a "first" in Hollywood: " 'Bros' is also making history by having an entirely LGBTQ main cast, including for the straight characters, the first for a major studio film."
Downtown Cranford noted, "The crew’s equipment vehicles, campers, and crew vehicles will be parked in portions of nearby municipal lots 7 and 11 as well as a private lot(s) close to the filming location to be able to complete the scenes. Businesses in this area may adjust their hours, so please check their social media or give them a call to make sure they're open."

A First For Hollywood
The Hollywood Reporter broke the news on Thursday: "Written by [Billy] Eichner and Nicholas Stoller, it's the first major studio film to feature an all-LGBTQ principal cast playing heterosexual roles."
The publication described the film as "A smart, swoony and heartfelt comedy about two gay men (Eichner, Luke Macfarlane) maybe, possibly, probably, stumbling toward love."
