Hearing On Proposed Union County College Cell Tower Cancelled
Verizon was scheduled to present their application to the Cranford Zoning Board.
CRANFORD, NJ - Verizon will no longer present their application to the Cranford Zoning Board for a new cell tower on Oct. 7 as the meeting has been cancelled.
The hearing, originally scheduled for June, will now be rescheduled for another time according to officials.
The proposed plans for the tower has caught the attention of residents in Cranford, Westfield and beyond. Both Cranford Mayor Patrick Giblin and Westfield Mayor Shelley Brindle have commented on the application over the past several months, encouraging those interested to attend meetings.

According to the schedule, the next meeting of the Zoning Board is set for Oct. 21. The Nov. 4 meeting has been cancelled so the next meeting would be Nov. 25.
