Heroin Arrest On North Avenue East: Cranford Police
Christian McCarthy was stopped for a cracked windshield, police said.
CRANFORD, NJ - A 26-year-old Barnegat man was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after a motor vehicle stop on April 11, according to the Cranford Police Department.
According to authorities, a 2008 Lexus was stopped on North Avenue East and the Garden State Parkway 137 Exchange for a cracked windshield. Following an investigation on scene, Patrolman Matthew Siessel arrested the driver, Christian
McCarthy, for suspected heroin found in his possession, police said.
He was processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date.

In addition, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for maintenance of lamps,
a cracked windshield, an obstructed view and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
