Heroin, Crack Cocaine Found Inside Cranford Man's Car: Police
Two marijuana possession arrests and two DWI arrests were also made last week in Cranford, police report.

CRANFORD, NJ — A Cranford with heroin and crack cocaine inside his car was arrested this past weekend in the township, police report.
On March 11 at 12:09 a.m., a 2003 Mercury was stopped at the intersection of E. Lincoln Avenue and Walnut Avenue for failing to keep right.
Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Daniel Donnerstag located heroin and crack cocaine inside the vehicle, Cranford Police report.

The driver, Brian Hampson, 27, of Cranford was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance(Heroin and Cocaine); and Possession of Paraphernalia, processed, and released pending a Superior Court Appearance.
Hampson was also issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to maintain lane and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

On March 6 at 8:31 p.m.: A 2016 BMW was stopped at the intersection of E. South Avenue and Elise Street for a moving violation. The driver, Eugene Guilford, 55, of Lands Down, PA refused to provide proper identification to Ptl. Jason D’Agostino. After a period of time, Ptl. D’Agostino informed Guilford that he would be placed under arrest for obstruction. While being taken into custody, Guilford began resisting arrest. Once back at headquarters, it was determined that Guilford had active warrants out of Newark, South Brunswick, and Greenbrook Municipal Courts. Guilford was processed for Obstructing the Administration of Law; Resisting Arrest; and Contempt of Court, and turned over to South Brunswick PD on the active warrant. Guilford was issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to maintain lane, careless driving, driving while suspended.
On March 7 at 9:50 p.m.: A 2013 Chevy was stopped at the intersection of Centennial Avenue and Hayes Street for a speeding violation. Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Jason D’Agostino located marijuana inside the vehicle. The driver, Louis Polise, 19, of Port Reading was arrested for Possession of Marijuana(under 50g); and Possession of Paraphernalia, processed, and released pending a Municipal Court appearance. Polise was also issued motor vehicle summonses for speeding, failure to signal, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
On March 8 at 12:15 a.m.: A 2016 Honda was stopped at the intersection of Raritan Road and Centennial Avenue for failing to signal. Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Gregory Federici located marijuana inside the vehicle. The driver, Sandy Hart, 37, of Rahway was arrested for Possession of Marijuana(under 50g); and Possession of Paraphernalia, processed, and released pending a Municipal Court appearance. Hart was issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to signal, improper window tint, and driving while suspended.
On March 10 at 12:31 a.m.: A 2017 Ford was stopped at the intersection of E. South Avenue and E. Lincoln Avenue for a lane violation. Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Daniel Donnerstag determined that the driver, Tyrone Parker Jr., 46, of Roselle was driving while intoxicated. Furthermore, Ptl. Donnerstag located marijuana inside the vehicle. Parker Jr. was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated; Possession of Marijuana(under 50g); and Possession of Paraphernalia, processed, and released to a family member pending a Municipal Court appearance. Additionally, Parker Jr. was issued motor vehicle summonses for driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain lane, careless driving, unclear plates, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
On March 11 at 11:16 p.m.: A 2007 Ford was stopped at the intersection of E. North Avenue and Forest Avenue for an equipment violation. Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Shayne Temple determined that the driver, Louis Castillo, 28, of Elizabeth was driving while intoxicated. Castillo was arrested, processed, and released to a family member pending a Municipal Court Appearance. Castillo was issued motor vehicle summonses for driving while intoxicated, careless driving, and operating a motor vehicle without headlights.
