Heroin, Marijuana Arrests Made In Cranford
Cranford Police arrested two people for possession of heroin and marijuana in separate incidents.

CRANFORD, NJ — Cranford Police arrested two people for possession of heroin and marijuana in separate incidents.
Cranford Police Blotter:
On June 27 at 12:31 a.m.: A 2006 Chrysler was stopped at the intersection of Raritan Road and Coleman Avenue for an equipment violation. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Gregory Federici located marijuana inside the vehicle. The driver, Ricky Dobbs, 29, Newark was arrested for possession of marijuana (under 50grams) and possession of paraphernalia, processed and released pending a Municipal Court appearance. Dobbs was also issued motor vehicle summonses for unclear plates and possessing a controlled dangerous substance inside a motor vehicle.

On July 4 at 6:41 p.m.: A 2003 Mercedes was stopped at the intersection of E. North Avenue and the Garden State Parkway southbound entrance ramp for a seatbelt violation. Following an investigation at the scene, Patrolman Ryan Gerrity located heroin inside the vehicle. The driver, Michael Martinho, 34, of Elizabeth was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (heroin) and possession of paraphernalia, processed and released pending a Superior Court appearance. Martinho was issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to wear seatbelt and possessing a controlled dangerous substance inside a motor vehicle.
