Highlighting School Safety With Cranford Cops

Training discussed the agreement between schools and law enforcement regarding mental health and security.

CRANFORD, NJ - Last Tuesday Cranford Police and Cranford school representatives combined for a meeting on school safety and mental health.

According to officials, Detective Sergeant Matt Nazzaro of the Juvenile Bureau and Hillside Avenue School Principal and School Safety Specialist Dr. Curt Fogas presented a block of instruction entitled "Juvenile CIT - The Police-School Relationship" at the John H. Stamler Police Academy.

The training discussed the importance of the memorandum of agreement between all schools and local law enforcement regarding mental health, school safety and security.
